Dear Parents/Carers
I am writing to inform you that year 12 students will undertake further PPE examinations during the period of 6th June until 1st July. Students will not be given study leave for these examinations and full attendance is expected. This is to ensure they receive the maximum amount of teaching time in the final weeks before the summer holidays begin.
As always, it is vital that students are well prepared and spend time revising at home. The results from these examinations allow staff to identify current performance and support students in achieving their best possible A Level grades. These examinations will also support staff in making predictive grades for UCAS applications and references objectively. Details on how to revise can be found on our web page along with other links for advice on supporting students in creating revision plans and study skills. Teaching staff have also provided students with individual details on what they need to revise for each exam and specific exam and revision techniques pertinent to their subjects.
We would very much like to thank you for your continued support as we prepare students for the demands of the coming months. We appreciate that revising for and sitting exams can be a challenging experience, especially if students are sitting them for the first time. Therefore, it is our intention to provide students with the best ways to organise their time and revision to achieve the results they deserve. Please also see details on how students can manage their anxiety and mental wellbeing during this stressful period, as well as other useful resources below;

- Ofqual has also published a guide to coping with exam pressure and the NHS has a helpful ‘help your child beat exam stress‘ webpage you can share with parents.
