Year 9 and Year 10 students visit French-food restaurant

Twenty-four Year 9 and Year 10 students tested out their language skills on a recent visit to a French-food restaurant. On arrival, we were greeted by our French-speaking host, along with some obligatory berets and of course, Eric Cantona! Students politely ordered their French breakfast and drinks in French, whilst practising some very important phrases to explain any issues they had encountered with their order.

After breakfast, the students tested out the mock-guillotine and thanked their hosts for their hospitality. All of the Year 9 and 10 students in attendance were a credit to our school, joining in with the conversations in French and conducting themselves impeccably. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience that we hope to be able to repeat.
