I am writing to inform you that due to potential industrial strike action and the year 11 Prom evening taking place on July 7th, our sixth form induction will now be condensed to one day. This will take place on Thursday 6th July from 8.40am until 3.00pm.
We have ensured that students will not be disadvantaged by this shorter induction. They will still be able to meet key Sixth Form staff, their form group for year 12 and sample lessons from the full range of Level 3 courses we offer.
Students should arrive punctually at school on this date for 8.40AM and report to the dining hall. For external students, staff will be available to direct students where they need to go. Whilst school uniform is not expected, students are to wear appropriate attire for engaging in lessons.
It is expected that all students who are joining us in September will attend this induction day. Can I also take this opportunity to remind you that there is a parent and student evening regarding the transition to Sixth Form which takes place on Wednesday 5th July at 4.30pm. Parental attendance to this evening with your child is strongly encouraged. For housekeeping purposes on that evening, please complete the form following the link below or scan the QR code by Monday 3rd July to indicate whether you are able to attend.
