World Book Day 2020

Thursday 5th March marks National Book Day and this year staff at STM are celebrating in style! As well as treating every student with a £1.00 book token staff have presented for school in costumes representative of their ‘rites of passage’ stories. Here at St Thomas More we truly believe that teachers hold the key to unlocking passions within our students; today has given staff an opportunity to share with students the stories and characters that they loved as children. Talking about books has been a joy for staff and students and it is just one of the cross-curricular strategies we are now employing as a school to enhance the literacy diet experienced by our young people today and every day.
