Fifty lucky students and 5 members of staff from STM have spent a weekend shopping (and eating) in France.
After crossing the Channel by ferry, they visited the Christmas market in lovely Lille before heading to the Ebblinghem castle for the evening entertainments and a well deserved rest too. Of course, the visit included the “escargot” tasting, croissants breakfast, “crêpes” making and lots of baguette. Before heading back home, they also visited a bakery to learn about bread and croissant making (and to practise their French) as well as a chocolate factory where they decorated their own chocolate bars (and ate some too). Staff were delighted with the students’ exemplary behaviour (and exceptional singing skills on the coach during the trip back home). All in all “une merveilleuse experience”!
