As part of our ongoing collaboration with schools in our Catholic Cluster in Walsall we were delighted to be able to welcome Mrs Burrows and Mrs Robinson from St Peter’s Catholic Primary School in Bloxwich to school on Friday last, March 6th. They led a training session on the delivery and use of phonics to a number of our staff including members of our English Department and TA team. This is a new and exciting departure for us as a school and one that will allow us to best support all our children needing a particular kind of support and encouragement. We are very grateful to Mrs Beirne, Head teacher of St Peter’s, for rearranging their school commitments to allow both Mrs Burrows and Mrs Robinson to spend this time with us.
