Last October the Pope launched the world’s largest ‘Listening Exercise’ when he launched Synod 2021 – 2023.
Synod means ‘journeying together’ and it involves listening to the Holy Spirit and to each other in order to discern the path we are called to walk together.
Pope Francis wants to hear from the whole Church about what is happening in local parishes and communities, such as our school.
He and Archbishop Bernard Longley would like to know what individuals such as you think we should all be doing to help make our parishes and communities better.
In other words:
What is the Holy Spirit saying to us today?
Please use Synod Prayer that you have been given (above) so that as we journey together, we are united in prayer.
In February, during some of our RE lessons, we will be reflecting on some of the questions set ,before us by the Archdiocese.
For more information on what they are and further details about the Synod go to: https://www.birminghamdiocese.org.uk
We will listen to each other, so that we can feedback alongside the St. Newman Cluster to the Archbishop.
