Students from Years 8 and 9 dedicated their lunch time recently in order to make green ribbons to sell and raise money for charities supporting efforts to deal with the devastation caused by the Australian bush fires. £80 has already been raised. Mrs Bowen very kindly took ribbons to the Walsall Catholic Cluster Meeting and helped to raise £25. The Catholic Cluster consists of Catholic headteachers of both Walsall primary and secondary schools. They were greatly impressed with our students’ compassion.
If students would like to help by purchasing a ribbon please see Mrs T Edge (whatever they can afford or a minimum of 20p).
Students have also been learning about the bush fires in lesson by using a special presentation. Some students have become Koala Protectors through a charity training funds to help these animals who are obviously in desperate state.
Thank you for all your support and well done to the students who have donated their time, money and energy.
