Students congratulated by school governor on their commitment to their Youth SVP work

On Wednesday 23rd June, we welcomed Mr Mealey, a member of the board of governors, into school for the day and we were delighted that he spent his morning meeting with the Youth SVP group bubbles from Years 7-10.

During the meetings, the groups enthusiastically discussed the work that they do in school, describing the events they have organised to work with our local community groups and support the work and mission of the St. Vincent de Paul Society – turning concern into action and giving to those that are less fortunate than ourselves. Recent to the group’s success are a variety of initiatives – sponsored bike-rides and walks and continued support of the Good Shepherd Centre.
