STM Poetry Writing Competition

After reading Register and Read in form this week you’ll understand the correlation between reciting poetry and song lyrics and positive mental health.

As a school community we invite students from Year 7 – 13 to create a poem using the ‘It’s Ok Not to be Ok’ Mental Health Awareness theme. The poetry will be shared via More News and our school plasma screens every week and our eventual aim is to create a book of uplifting poetry to help us all through difficult times!

In English lessons this week KS3 students will revise different forms of poetry that could be used to create inspirational poems.

Deadline for entries: Friday, 9th October.

To: Your English Teacher

Ensure your entry includes your full name, year group and your form group.
