Dear Parents and Carers, as we start this last week of term we will continue to audit the punctuality of our students to school. This is in part to address current concerns regarding the high level of lateness amongst a significant number of our students from Years 7-13, but also to imbed and remind both students and families as to our expectations in readiness for our new term.
Our main gate will now shut/close promptly at 8.40am, which is actually the time that all students should be in either Form or Assembly, rather than arriving to school.
Students will be directed to our school canteen via the side door where they will report their name and reason for their lateness to the attendance team.
We are fully aware of current cold snap and weather conditions and will be conscious of this whilst dealing with those arriving late to school in the morning and will bring relevant students in out of the cold immediately they arrive.
Thank you for your continued support with our endeavours to address this basic school expectation. It is our intention to share information including important updates from Walsall LA regarding attendance and punctuality upon our return in January.
