Students today welcomed Pat McFadden MP into school as he delivered a large amount of computer equipment donated through his Wolves Tech Aid scheme. Wolves Tech Aid is a not-for-profit initiative serving Wolverhampton. Its focus is to identify and repurpose a wide variety of technology to eliminate the inequality of access to digital education within the home for families across the city.
Pat, who was joined by Wolverhampton Councillor Olivia Birch, also took the time to answer a series of politically themed questions posed by our executive school council. The visitors and students discussed a variety of topical issues including the cost-of-living crisis, the current series of UK strikes, how inequalities could be tackled, and the benefits of living in such a diverse city as Wolverhampton. Pat was impressed by the calibre of the questions that were put to him by students.
We would like to express our huge thanks to Pat, Olivia and everyone at Wolves Tech Aid for both visiting our school to talk with our students, and also the large and very generous donation of computer equipment. For more information on Wolves Tech Aid please see https://wolvestechaid.com/
