Pastoral and Academic Notices

As part of our ongoing commitment in ensuring that our students feel happy and safe around school and are using their talents to the full, we endeavour to have regular communication with families across the school year, so that parents/carers are well informed regarding the progress being made by their child/children.

Communication will be in many different formats via texts, phone calls, reports, or face-to-face meetings or events.
Our first pastoral event for this academic year is for the parents and carers of our Year 7 and Year 12 students. This is an opportunity to meet with Form Tutors to discuss how well students have settled in since joining us in September.
Discussions will focus on attendance, behaviour, engagement and work ethic, as well as any queries or concerns that Parents/Carers may wish to raise.

The event, will take place on Tuesday 7th November between 4pm and 6.30pm. Appointments will need to be made in advance of the event and an on-line booking system will open prior to half term. A link to the booking system system will be sent out via text and will also be available on our website.

In addition, there will also be an evening event for each year group, for parents/carers to meet with subject teachers to discuss the progress being made by their child, in each subject.

Further information, regarding each event will be sent out, in advance, but please be aware of the following events and dates:

Year 13 Progress Evening13th November 2023
Year 12 Progress Evening10th April 2024
Year 11 Progress Evening22nd November 2023
Year 10 Progress Evening20th February 2024
Year 9 Progress Evening24th January 2024
Year 9 Options Evening7th February 2024
Year 8 Progress Evening12th March 2024
Year 7 Progress Evening14th May 2024

Should parents/carers have other queries or concerns that they wish to discuss outside of these events, they should, through reception, request a call back from their child’s Form Tutor, in the first instance. The Form Tutor will then be able to direct the support needed to the right person in school. If, however, the matter for discussion concerns an ongoing issue, calls should be directed to the person dealing with it.

We look forward to welcoming families at our different events across the year.
