Thought: ‘God is at home, it is we who have gone for a walk’ (M. Eckhart)

Lord, you teach us truth.
Lord, you guide us in the way of love.
Lord, you lead us to the joys of heaven.

John 17 : I pray also for those who will believe in me through the Gospel message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as You are in me and I am in You... May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that You sent me and that You love them as You love me.

We reflect today on the meaning of ‘God with us’! The love of God made present for each one of us in our homes, communities, and world. Yet present in a way few have ever understood, in the form of a child; Jesus.

Awareness : ‘Alas for those who never sing, but die with all their music in them.’ (Hazlitt)

We reflect this week, as we prepare to celebrate the Feast of All Saints next week, on what exactly a saint is.

‘You choose because you are chosen, you choose because at the heart of your desire to love, you have found the heart of God searching for you’ (Irish Bishops Conference)

Thought: Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.

‘Of what good is the word of Christ without an example’ (Dostoyevsky)

‘The problem for many people is fear. We are afraid of one another – afraid of meeting’ (Jean Vanier)
