Year 11 Literature Tutorials during Wednesday form times
Year 11 students will receive a fifteen minute tutorial each week during Wednesdays form time. This is bespoke to our school, created by myself and in keeping with the immediate needs for the current Y11 cohort. Last academic year students benefited most from this when they had a note book with them every Wednesday to record their notes. This then formed their core revision for An Inspector Calls, A Christmas Carol and Romeo and Juliet. This week I begin with ‘A Christmas Carol’ focusing on the purpose of the preface and the motif of hands across the novella.
Please talk to your child about their key take away knowledge each Wednesday so that they are continually recalling their knowledge of the literature studied and securing this in their long-term memories.
