Breakfast Club

What is a breakfast club?

Breakfast club is our before-school club for all students to attend. This is run by Mr King and Ms Hawkins, Monday – Friday 7.30-8.30am. Our breakfast club provides a safe, secure environment before school, where children can have a decent breakfast and participate in a range of activities with their friends but also make new friends from different year groups.

What is available at breakfast club?

We offer a range of activities for the students to participate in. These include:

  • Table Tennis
  • Xbox
  • Card games/Uno/board games
  • Football table
  • Completing homework

Children have the choice of different foods/drinks to choose from for an extra cost. Some of these items include:

Food and drinks

  • Bacon bap
  • Yazoo
  • Cereal
  • Water
  • Radnor Fizz
  • Toast

And many more items.

How does eating breakfast benefit children?

Research suggests that some of the benefits of children having a good breakfast are:

  • Improved concentration.
  • Improved attendance and punctuality.
  • Improved behaviour.
  • Improved attainment and achievement at school.

Breakfast items are available at extra cost.

What other benefits are there?

Additional to the benefits above, our club also offers students a place where they make new friends, develop their social skills and participate in a variety of games and activities. It also provides a casual atmosphere where students can relax before starting the school day positively.

How much does it cost?

Entrance is 50p, although first visits are free. Breakfast items are available at extra cost.
