We are continuing our means of supporting our students and their families and would like to know if you feel as a student or as a parent your child helps to care for you or members of the family. Across the next few weeks we are looking to gather more information to help us identify and give continued support to anyone that might have a caring role when they go home. I have attached a guide to help to work out if you think you might or your child might be a “Young Carer” and we will be placing reminders around school in the next week to help remind everyone in school. If you think they are, please email the @STM Postbox stating the child/children’s names and with a heading Young carer. From this we will complete the necessary checking and speak with them further. We will also communicate with families to explain how they will be supported (In school and out of school) and what support we can offer Please feel free to get in touch if you would like to speak to someone personally to discuss things.
