On the 8-10th May, a group of our Year 7 and 8 students set off on an exciting three-day trip to Alton Castle, Staffordshire and shared their retreat with Year 8 students from St Thomas Aquinas, Birmingham.
Although for the majority of the time it was raining, this did not have an impact on the wonderful time the students had. Alongside the spiritual aspects of the retreat, students had fun on various activities such as; trekking, crates, biking and survival.
St Thomas More staff- Mr Weighell, Mr Murray, Miss Micklewright and Miss Ferguson gave up their time to accompany the children and partake in the outdoor pursuits, as well as supporting them in their spiritual development. The students were a credit to our school as they conquered fears and treated staff and students at St Thomas Aquinas with respect and kindness.
A massive thank you to all those involved and Miss McPhee for organising a wonderful trip.
