Advice to All Parents – COVID-19 Single case

Dear Parents and Carers, you will be aware from the communication issued by school last evening that we have had our first confirmed Covid case amongst our Year 11 cohort. We have ensured that all relevant agencies and bodies have been informed and are aware of the measures in place to continue to safeguard the wellbeing and health of our students both in school and whilst isolating. Work is being issued for all Year 11 students using Show My Homework. This will include the work that would have been covered in lesson, materials and tasks for revision for Year 11 PPE after half term and the activities that would have been covered during Period 6 by those students asked to attend. There is a clear expectation that all Year 11 students will complete the tasks set. We will monitor engagement and will communicate with Parents and Carers regarding any concerns as to students’ levels of engagement.

Our school buses have not been affected by our current circumstances an continue to run both morning and evening. Students using our buses are still expected to wear their masks travelling both to and from school.

School is running as normal for all other students and as such students in Years 7 -10 ad the Sixth Form are expected to attend.

I am sure that you will have a number of questions and would ask that you direct them to school at your earliest convenience. For further advice and guidance I would ask you read the letter enclosed.

Thank you, Mrs Bowen
