Advent Collections Appeal 2019

Sunday 1st December 2019 is the first Sunday of Advent. In school we will begin our various Advent collections for those who are vulnerable in some way. Details of these collections can be found below.

Year 7 – Baby Basics

Baby Basics was founded in 2009 at the King’s Centre Church in Sheffield, and are now operating their scheme in the Wolverhampton area.

Baby Basics works with midwives, health visitors and other professional bodies to provide starter parcels for those in need.

They are able to help vulnerable groups such as teenage mums, asylum seekers, and women fleeing domestic violence and trafficking.

Baby Basics donates Moses baskets providing a safe bed to sleep in and are packed full of toiletries such as nappies, wipes, as well as blankets, towels and baby clothes. For some these are the only items they have for their child.

Baby Basics believe their scheme shows God’s love in action.
