Dear Parents/Carers,

As we begin this new academic year we wish to take this opportunity to thank you for your on-going support and encouragement in the work that we do here at St Thomas More Catholic School.

First aid

There is no longer a nurse employed by school. There are a number of trained first aiders in the event of an emergency or first aid being required.

On Monday 8th June 2015 I took the group to the University of Warwick.  The trip was part of the “Future Scholar Award” which looks to give students the opportunity to experience life around a university campus.

New Year 7 intake students

The move from Primary School to Secondary School is a very important one, and here at St Thomas More Catholic School we want to help you in every way we can to settle in quickly and successfully. We want you to enjoy your time in your new school and achieve great success.

Senior prefect team

After a lengthy and carefully considered selection process we congratulate our newly appointed Sixth Form Senior Prefects.

The selection process involved candidates writing a letter of application, a poll of staff and students and, finally, a formal interview.

Hannah and Tracey

Hannah Andrews, 7RBI, and her mum, Tracey, took part in a sponsored walk on the 7 June 2015 in order to raise money to help beat blood cancer. The event was organised by Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research and took place near Bromsgrove.

Students with Minecraft Willow Man display

Olivia Hillier, Jai Muca, Aron Perkins, Hannah Woodhouse, Sam Lloyd are Year 7 students who take part in Literacy Intervention. They are currently reading and enjoying a story about The Willow Man, which we have adapted into a Minecraft version for our display. The story is woven around three main characters and The Willow Man. If you travel south on the M5 the Willow Man is near junction 23, the turn off for Bridgewater where the story is set.
