Last week, all of the Year 9 German pupils went to the Frankfurt Christmas Market in Birmingham to sample the German food specialities and to practise their German language skills.

Table at the Christmas Fayre

Thank you to everyone who helped with our Christmas Fayre; your time and donations are very much appreciated.

Yet again our Good Samaritan feature focuses on the selfless and altruistic actions of three of our students, two from Year 11 and one from Year 8.

Now that's its getting dark earlier in the evenings, it's more important than ever to make sure you can be seen when out near roads.

As the nights are getting dark please make sure that you travel between school and home safely.

Middle Ages Miniature Masterpieces

As part of their studies on The Middle Ages and William of Normandy’s victory at the Battle of Hastings, Year 7 students were asked to create at home a model of a motte and bailey castle.

Poppy display in hub

On Tuesday 10th November, students in Years 7 – 10 participated in our first British Values Day here at St Thomas More. Students were ‘off timetable’ for the day to complete activities linked to the four key values of: democracy, liberty, mutual respect and rule of law.

We look forward to any opportunity to recognise the achievements of our students whether that be their academic successes, their emotional well being, their care of others, their commitment to the very unique ethos of our school or their compassion for those in our local or global community who look to us for support, encouragement and care.
