On Wednesday 21st June the Year 11 students were invited back into school for their official leavers’ assembly.

In preparation for the general election on the 8th June the school council and history department organised the St Thomas More Election Debate. Four Sixth Form students volunteered to speak at this event, and over fifty students and staff attended the debate.

Seventeen students from across year groups 7 – 10 visited Rome with three members of staff and Father Martin from Monday 29th May – Thursday 1st June 2017.

On 27th April, A-level Physics students visited the Jodrell Bank Radio Observatory in north Cheshire.

National Careers Week took place the week starting Monday 6 March 2017.

On Thursday 9th March to Saturday 11th March the Year 12 and 13 geography students embarked on a three day field trip to undertake physical and human geography field studies.

On Friday 10 March the Youth SVP held a Coffee Morning for the local parishes, parents and friends of the school.
