Many thanks to the parents who attended the year 11 mocks information events on Monday and Tuesday. It was interesting seeing how our period 6 sessions are working and listening to Heads of core subjects explain how important the mocks are. The mock exam results will decide which level of exams are taken in the summer, they must be taken seriously! This is a change from previous years. Additionally if someone is ill for the actual exams their mock may be used to produce a grade for them, this would be dependent upon medical evidence and exceptional circumstances. Mocks will take place during the last two weeks of term.

Charity Music Concert

Congratulations to all of those involved in the musical concert on Thursday, some of which were part of preparation for their exams. The standard was very high and raising money for a cancer charity was a very good and worthy thing to do. Well done!

As we approach our last three weeks of term, we also start Advent this weekend. Amongst the homework, shopping and general business of our lives, we also start our season of preparing for Christmas spiritually. In school we will light advent wreathes and display the crib as we focus on the true meaning of the holy season.
