As we are coming to the end of our term, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you a very happy and holy Easter. It has been a very successful term, not least because we were able to get our ‘good’ judgement from Ofsted. I hope that the students enjoyed their creme eggs and extra half-day holiday. I was delighted with their input into the inspection and have passed on my thanks, along with thanks from the governors, the diocese, the Ofsted inspection team and Walsall Local Authority. Well done!

Year 11 to 13

The school is open during the break, please check the website or phone reception if you need extra information (please see page 2 for our opening hours). It is vital that students are in school for any sessions that they have been asked to attend by teachers. Please also take the opportunity to catch up with the work and more importantly stick to a revision timetable. It is important to get a break too, but everything is about having a balance, let the work come first so you feel as if you have earnt your breaks. Don’t put off until tomorrow what you can achieve today!

During the holiday we will take the opportunity to complete building works. We are installing our state of the art CCTV system which will give full coverage inside and outside of the school building. This will help further improve student safety and speed up a number of pastoral issues. It will be a useful addition to our school.

MoreNews goes digital!

Finally, don’t forget that this is the last paper copy of MoreNews. Please sign up for our school app in order that you can continue to receive our publication but in digital format. This will allow the same information to get home but is kinder to the environment and our increasingly tight school budget. If you still require a paper copy, please let the school know and we will ensure that you do not miss out.

Happy Easter and God bless,

Dr Hatfield, Headteacher
