I am happy to provide FABS with badges to identify the group and would like a couple of your group to help select the designs in order that you are happy with them. Having FABS patrol with prefects seems a very sensible idea and Mrs Bowen will help to arrange this to start ASAP.

In response to your suggestion that we need more CCTV cameras, I am seeking governors’ approval to invest in a new CCTV system, which will give far more substantial coverage of the school both inside and immediately outside. This will help to deal with any alleged bullying or other incidents as it will produce high quality images which can be referred back to whenever necessary. I consider our students’ safety an absolute priority and will seek to get this system installed quickly.

SMH has improved the amount of homework being completed and has increased parental involvement. However I have emphasised that teaching staff must refer to and explain homework as part of their lesson. I also agree that homework must genuinely extend learning and teaching staff should be using homework in this way. Please give me an update on any issues that you encountered. I am glad that you think the system has been an improvement and have seen an increased performance in a number of subjects e.g. in maths where homework is done regularly and to a high standard. We will let students and families know that all the features of ‘Show my Homework’ are available through Google Chrome; sometimes other systems can reduce access.

Mr Barratt is going to develop several options regarding solutions to the robustness of our student handbooks. I have suggested that he will attend your next meeting in order to present the possibilities to the council and allow a much broader discussion.

Our school Business Manager is going to organise for another bin to be installed on the second floor in response to your request and as part of our drive to reduce litter.

The suggestions you make to improve the experience of all students using the busses seem very sensible. I would like the group to work with Mr Burns in order to develop the contracts and bus prefects. I totally support your ideas and would like to see them happen.
