As we approach Christmas, please spare a thought for those in our community who are facing difficulties. I am aware of the tragedies in the local area that have affected our students and families. Our thoughts and prayers are with all who are grieving.

This is a long but very important term for all our students. Our teachers are under strict instructions to ensure that every lesson counts, so we will be delivering good quality lessons right up until the end of term.

Next term we are reviewing what we do during parents’ evenings and will include more opportunities for parents and students to receive careers’ guidance, to have updates on the current grading system and what we are doing in school to support our students, to get advice from the pastoral team and community police about any concerns along with the usual appointments with subjects staff. We hope this will be very useful.

We are about to start Advent, this is the season during which we prepare for the birth of Christ and remember the true meaning of Christmas.
