Communication with parents

More News is available through our school app or website. However if you would like a paper copy, we can deliver a copy to your child via their form. Additionally we have a number of copies, which can be collected from reception. There has been a lot of change to our exams. I will write to parents in Year 11 with further information, I will also publish the same guidance in More News for all parents to access. In January, the school will hold a Year 10 and 11 parents’ information event. This will be an opportunity to find out more about exam reform and strategies to support our students at home.

Homework

Don’t forget you can access ‘Show My Homework’ via an app, in order to keep a track on your son/daughter’s progress. If you have forgotten your login, please contact Mr Jones. Homework is getting much better! I am delighted because good quality homework genuinely extends the learning hours for our students. Mr Virgo will be publishing an updated homework timetable next week for every class in the school.

All Saints’ Day

On Tuesday, we celebrated All Saints Day with mass in school. This is a very special day during which we take time to remember all of our loved ones who have passed away. In our chapel we have cards which can be filled in and left in order to remember somebody special who has died. The chapel is also open for quiet prayer at break and lunch time.

Remembrance Day

We will hold our annual Remembrance Day service on Friday the 10th in honour of all those who have lost their lives in war and service to their country. We will remember them.
