On Wednesday 21st June the Year 11 students were invited back into school for their official leavers’ assembly. After a long and busy period of examinations the students were given the opportunity to let their hair down and celebrate all of the happy memories during their time at St Thomas More Catholic School.
The assembly began with some heartfelt words from Dr Hatfield, saying how proud she was of the year group. Master of ceremonies Mr Murray led the fun and frolics and introduced a packed line-up, which included some comedic performances from staff and superb musical performances from students, in particular Wiktoria Chodkowska, Caitlan Parker, Kieran Gosling and Courtney Marson. Some students were a little tearful when good luck messages from staff and nostalgic photos from the last five years were shown.
Leavers books were signed at the end and students said their last goodbyes before breaking up for a well-deserved summer break. For those staying on for Sixth Form we will welcome them back in September, and for those students who are moving on we thank you and wish you all the best for the future.
