We have now launched our annual shoe box appeal in support of the work of Samaritan's Purse. The charity aims to improve the experience of children at Christmas who are living in poverty and in parts of the world affected by war. Last year as a school we sent over 100 shoe boxes filled with gifts which was a fantastic achievement. This year forms in Year 7 will be supporting the charity but all students, parents and staff are welcome to get involved. All you need to do is fill a shoebox with items from the list below (or send items in for shoeboxes). Items allowed to be sent include:

  • Gloves, hats and scarves (but no other items of clothing)
  • Soap, toothpaste, tooth brush (but no other liquid toiletries)
  • Stationery
  • Small new toys for girls and boys (no second hand ones)
  • Sweets that have a sell by date until at least March 2016 (no chocolate).

We plan to have the shoe boxes ready to send to a collection point by the beginning of November. For more details please ask Miss McPhee for a leaflet.
