Hannah Andrews, 7RBI, and her mum, Tracey, took part in a sponsored walk on the 7 June 2015 in order to raise money to help beat blood cancer. The event was organised by Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research and took place near Bromsgrove.
Hannah said “I thought I could help raise some money to beat blood cancer so I arranged to do this with my mum. I’ve been sponsored by family members, teachers and friends.”
Hannah and her mother walked 12 miles and were surprised to find that the route was over hills and through woods, not just along the roads.
“The ground was uneven in places and my legs are a bit tired today. It was really hard and it was really hot, but we both really enjoyed it and are looking forward to doing it again next year.”
Hannah’s mum, Tracey, said, “Hannah did absolutely amazing. When everyone was getting tired Hannah’s spirit and bubbly personality kept everyone going and smiling.”
Congratulations to both Hannah and Tracey who were able to raise £31 through their walk.
