Now that's its getting dark earlier in the evenings, it's more important than ever to make sure you can be seen when out near roads.

Here are some top tips on how to be bright and be seen:

  1. Wear brightly coloured or fluorescent clothing that show up well in daylight and at dusk when you're heading to and from school.
  2. Wear reflective gear if you're out when it's dark to make sure you can be seen when lights shine on you.
  3. Accessorise - even small items like fluorescent and reflective armbands or stickers on your coat or school bag can make you be seen and keep you safe.
  4. Always use safer places to cross wherever possible, and make sure your routes are well lit if you're out when it's dark.
