Schools are required to maintain 95% attendance and above. As of September 2015 Local Authorities and their relevant Education Welfare Officers (EWO) are now paying particular attention to those students whose attendance falls below 90%.

Thank you to all our students and parents for ensuring that our high standards of uniform are maintained. I would like to draw your attention to the Department for Education's guidance that allows us to ensure all our students are compliant.

As the nights are getting dark please make sure that you travel between school and home safely.

We look forward to any opportunity to recognise the achievements of our students whether that be their academic successes, their emotional well being, their care of others, their commitment to the very unique ethos of our school or their compassion for those in our local or global community who look to us for support, encouragement and care.

Dear Parents/Carers,

Thank you for your support during these first few weeks of the new term. We are delighted with the manner in which our students behave both in and around school and on their way to and from school.

Dear Parents/Carers,

As we begin this new academic year we wish to take this opportunity to thank you for your on-going support and encouragement in the work that we do here at St Thomas More Catholic School.

First aid

There is no longer a nurse employed by school. There are a number of trained first aiders in the event of an emergency or first aid being required.
