St Thomas More Catholic School is pleased to announce the publication of our new dedicated mobile device app for connecting parents, students and school.

Staff have followed the lead of students this week and, in keeping with our observation of 'The Year of Mercy', have brought shoes into school

We are now due to have an Ofsted inspection. Given the fact that our sixth form results are judged as ‘excellent’ for teaching and progress in year 12 and that our EBacc has improved by 5% and that over 70% of our students gained A* to C in a range of subjects including History, Geography and German we have got lots to celebrate.

Schools are required to maintain 95% attendance and above. As of September 2015 Local Authorities and their relevant Education Welfare Officers (EWO) are now paying particular attention to those students whose attendance falls below 90%.

You will be aware from regular communication from school and information held on our school web site that the regular attendance of our students is something we not only frequently monitor but work with endeavour to improvement.
