‘This is the sum of pity; do nothing to others what would cause you pain if done to you.’ (Hindu teaching)

During this autumn time the Christian community is asked to pray for peace, justice and human rights as a priority. Pope Paul IV once said, ‘if you want peace work for Justice’. Peace, justice and human rights are closely linked.

Luke 6 : 31-38

Do to others as you would have them do to you. For if you love

those who love you, what credit is that to you? …..But rather, love

your enemies and do good to them, and lend expecting nothing

back; then your reward will be great and you will be children of

the Most High, ………13 “Stop judging and you will not be judged.

Stop condemning and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you

will be forgiven. Give and gifts will be given to you.

Lord, lead us from death to life, from lies to truth.

Lead us from despair to hope, from fear to trust.

Let peace fill our hearts, our world and our universe

Let us dream together, pray together and work together to build a

world of peace and justice for all.
