‘At an early age I learned that the Gospel has to be lived’ (Catherine de Hueck Doherty)

We are reminded this week, in the readings from last Sunday, that Christ sends us out into the world as messengers of hope and love. The world means the area where we live, our local community, our school; those places where we meet people every day. Being concerned and active in the world is a clear sign of our values and beliefs. It is through living these values that we share the Good News of the Gospel.

God our Father, You have called us through our family and our baptism to hear Your word

and be followers of Your Son. We sometimes fear what You might ask of us

Help us to know that, in any way we try to respond to Your call, You will be with us, never

asking more than we can give. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
